My Bio

Come on in, grrrlz and guys! Here you will find art, photos and fiction about competitive women's boxing, with some links to videos of real matches. I learned to box in my late teens and I've made 3-d boxing art here for eight years, recently adding some AI work. You'll find about 4,400 of my pics and stories here, and over 20,000 pics by other DA artists in my "favorites". I love getting your comments, so don't be shy about telling me what you think of my work or about women's boxing! Thanks for visiting, and please come back often!

I've dabbled in AI art for almost a year. I can make more AI pics every day than I can with 3-d because AI only uses my browser and does not hog the computer I need for my real work. AI can make hair and clothes look good but it's dumb about how boxing gloves fit onto hands and about how boxing rings work. It can makes crowd scenes super fast but then give a boxer three arms or legs. (I throw out MANY more AI pics than I post). My guide to what you like most is your comments and how many faves you give. Some AI gets a much bigger response than my 3-d art does, but only the 3-d (DAZ) work lets me control details enough to tell stories with it. I'll keep doing both AI and 3-d but to help me see what of my AI you enjoy most I have a gallery "Your favorite AI art" with only AI you gave 50 or more faves to, ordered by how many you gave. Please look there occasionally - and fave any work you'd like me to try more of. Hugs and punches, Karen

Sorry I was offline for a while over New Year's but I got a dose of the flu (not COVID) going into New Year's Eve so I started 2024 feeling like hell. I hope you had a much better time than me (not hard) AND that you will have a very productive, fun and fulfilling 2024. There's a whole lot of bad stuff happening in the world as we start this year and there may be some nail biting times ahead but I hope none of it drags you in or down. Remember: punching bags are good for working out frustrations! I'm resolved to work hard to make this a good year from here on and I hope you will be able to do the same. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hugs, Karen

For everyone who celebrates Christmas today, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and I thank all of you who watch my work here on DA for your feedback and support. It's customary to hope for "Peace on Earth" at this time of the year, and I feel we need to keep that hope, and the will to make it happen, in the forefront of our lives more than ever. I wish you all a wonderful time with your nearest and dearest today, and let's all try to make "Peace on Earth" a reality any way we can.

This YouTube video is an oldie but goodie, shot from a close-in camera that gives you the feeling of being there at ringside - matchup is the 2012 WBC World Super Featherweight world title defense by Frida Wallberg of Sweden vs young rising star Amanda Serrano. Hard fought all the way, but skips much of the action in the corners between rounds. Still a good one to see if you appreciate top-class professional women's boxing! Hey my lovely boxing art and story fans - I've been dabbling with AI boxing art for a while and my "AI" sub-gallery is now getting close to having 200 pics. I have made a sub-gallery called "Your favorite AI art" which contains all those AI pics I have made that have so far gotten 50 or more separate faves from you all. The pics in that sub-gallery are listed in order of how many faves you have given them so far (as of October 13 2023). You might find that sub-gallery worth looking at to see what (statistically) "turns you all on" in my AI effort. I'm sometimes surprised by what catches a lot of faves, and what does not, so you may be too! I truly appreciate all the faves and comments you give my work, as well as the personal messages you send me. Your feedback helps to keep me fired up to do more of this, so please feel free to comment on the "favorite AI" list too! Hugs and (artificial intelligent) punches, Karen
