Description

ROUND 7 CONTINUED:

“Keep punching, Lil, don't let her recover!” Jett yelled.

Lilim listened to her coach and saw that Karen had begun to keep her guard too far down near her waist, protecting her stomach from further punishment.  The Azure Valkyrie seized her chance to fired several hard punches at the Champion’s undefended head.  The crowd went wild as spit and blood spurted from the KO Kitten's lips while Lilim pounded the Champion along the ropes, the thud of leather landing on bone mixing with Karen's grunts of pain.

The ref was looking closely both at the KO Kitten and at the timekeeper.

“Gotta ... fight ... back" Karen thought through her confusion as she tried to get away from the non-stop blue barrage, but she  suddenly found her back pressed against the padding in the neutral corner.   Her instinct told her to cover up but before she could raise her red gloves again Lilim threw a straight left that landed solidly, flush against her cheek.

Kitten?  Cornered?  :O

I don't know what else to say.

On the artistic front... Sharigan360 's descriptive work on Kitten's predicament is excellent.  This is the sort of confused fog I was so surprised neither fighter had shown earlier.  That I know I'm in trouble but I can't figure out which end is up state.  And as always, you've done a great job of bringing that imagery to life, Karen.  Throughout the sequence, Kitten's gloves half that sorta half-hearted positioning to them.  Like instinct tells her she needs to get them up, but she's just not with it enough to make it happen.
