Thinking About A Change by bx2000b Thinking About A Change by bx2000b
of career path?  She's done the gym training, prepared her best, but she's run into a stronger and faster opponent who's just rung her bell and put her down.  This isn't going anything like she'd visualized before the fight started. Her confidence is shaken, her head's spinning and her vision's gone a little fuzzy.  She can get up and bravely take more punishment, or she can decide right now, this very second, that this brutal sport's not for her after all.  She came to the ring ready to fight, properly equipped and mentally ready. Or so she thought.  Now she's been rocked and this isn't going right at all.

This is based on a real fight photo of a former national amateur champion in what turned out to be her last pro fight.  I'm reading stuff into her mind that may not have been there at this moment so I won't say who she is.  She left the sport with a 3-3 pro record after suffering this, her second KO loss.

Thank you very much. I can see you are a long time collector of female boxing material so I am glad you like my effort to add to what's online. I know this is still a controversial sport but I find it exciting and good for girls to build confidence and self reliance and character like boys have always been able to do through boxing. I am for anything that gets people interested in this!

Well, you present it in a classy way of what I consider an honorable female sport.  Drew.

thanks again.  Today's female boxing is real competition between serious athletes both amateur and pro but it still has to overcome prejudice about womens fighting including from male boxers who don't like girls getting in 'their' ring.  Womens fights are often the best of the night according to fans because there's less hugging and clinching and more action.  Whatever makes people watch female boxing and cheer on their favorite fighters I am for it.
